Okay so I've read a little over 200 pages of this book but then lost it. I started reading Perks of Being a Wallflower and then found this book again so I'm putting The Perks of Being a Wallflower on hold and finishing Thirteen Reasons Why, by Jay Asher. Right now I'll give you a little overview of what has happened in the first 206 pages. Hannah Baker ,a local highschool girl, has committed suicide. Clay Jensen a local high school guy had had a crush on Hannah Baker for as long as he can remember. When a mysterious box of tapes shows up at his doorstep addressed to him with no return address, he gets curious. He opens the box to find 13 tapes. He pops the first one in to hear a familiar voice. You guessed it, Hannah Baker, and shes made the tapes to tell her 13 reasons why she committed suicide. She says that starting with the first reason person, the box has been sent out in order of all the thirteen people whom have helped contribute to her death. Clay quickly realizes that this means that he is one of the reasons she died. This consumes Clay in despair and he go's on a mission to find out what he did. She had included a map along with the thirteen tapes of places to visit while listening to her voice to them a better understanding. You would think, well maybe it's all a scam maybe it's not real, maybe Clay shouldn't listen to them but, Hannah's first tape warned that if they were to not to listen to all 13 tapes and send it to the next person on the list after them or she would have people publish the tapes to the public. So right now he's on cassette number 7, his tape and i'm super worried it's something unintentionally done thats really bad!!
Yesterday I read the next 30 pages of my book. It got really sad because Clay is listening to his tape from Hannah and she is saying that Clay is different than the rest of the people on the tapes. Saying that she was sorry and how all she heard about Clay were always positive things. Clay had driven to the next stop on the map. The party at which they had their first real conversation. Ahhh it was soo sad, Hannah was describing the first night they talked and how Clay had the nerve to walk up to her and ask her if they could talk and while Clay was listening this he started crying, and then I started crying and AGHHHH..
